Planned Landscapes for Sustainable Development

We create planned landscapes that enhance site character and meet local authority requirements. Our design team produces Landscape General Arrangement Plans and Proposed Landscape Plans using data from topographical and tree surveys. Each plan reflects planning policy and sustainability goals, with clear planting layouts, sizes, species, and guidance for implementation.

These layouts support future landscape development, conservation, and Local Authority Planning approvals, and can form part of broader management plans including LEMPs (Landscape and Ecological Management Plans) and HMMP [Habitat Management and Monitoring Plans].

Landscape Planning and Design Expertise

Our landscape masterplans define public and private space, support biodiversity net gain, and guide phased development. We offer detailed landscape planning and design solutions, including planting plans that reflect seasonal interest, 100% native planting plans, and compliance with BS5837:2012. Plans are produced at practical scales for use by contractors, with colour-coded guidance aligned to buildings and site features.

Technical Detailing and Specifications

To support implementation, we prepare technical drawings, schedules of implementation for landscape and ecological enhancement features and mitigation, and specifications for both hard and soft landscaping. This includes materials, irrigation, and lighting—compliant with standards set by the Landscape Institute and Society of Garden Designers. CAD-based construction drawings ensure each feature is built to specification and planning requirements.

Planting Plans

Detailed planting plans can be prepared to specify soft landscaping elements plant types and quantities with inclusive Plant Schedule. We design landscapes for all seasonal interest with native and ornamental plants to produce characteristic planting that enhances site aspect and/or historical value. We consider reports from tree surveys to compile with British Standard BS5837:2012 Trees in Relation to Design, Demolition and Construction.

Bespoke Residential and Garden Design

For private homes, historic estates, and public-facing venues, we design unique gardens in a range of styles—contemporary, traditional, Japanese, coastal, and more. Our team delivers complete landscape planning and design solutions, including CAD plans, soft and hard landscaping proposals, and sourcing of bespoke garden features such as furniture, lighting, and water elements.
