Arboricultural Consultant

We are currently seeking experienced arboricultural consultant to join our team based at our East Sussex office.

PJC Consultancy is a growing regional multidisciplinary consultancy based primarily in the south east but operating nationally if the project demands. As well as arboricultural consultancy, PJC also undertake landscape design, land management and all aspects of ecology. Projects vary from advising individual household planning applications to regional infrastructure schemes and large-scale condition and safety surveys.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A recognised arboricultural or forestry related qualification at FdSc or equivalent.
  • A working knowledge of BS5837: 2012.
  • At least 3 years experience working in the arboricultural or forestry related industries.
  • Good IT skills, ideally with knowledge of AutoCad and GIS software.
  • Good communication skills, and the ability to manage a diverse range of clients and projects.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.

Please note while the above are desirable any candidate with experience of tree surveying but with alternative qualifications will be encouraged to apply.

Landscape Designer/Architect

Due to expansion of the business we are now seeking landscape designers/architects to join our East Sussex office.

The last two years has seen PJC Consultancy take on a number of exciting projects in the Sussex, Kent and Surrey areas, as well as further afield, resulting in a growing customer base and awareness of our offering. Projects have included major infrastructure projects, a number of high profile public realm engagements, as well as working for clients such as developers and private homeowners. As such we now have a demand for an additional, well motivated and enthusiastic landscape designer/architect to join our team.

Our ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Relevant academic qualification and experience in Landscape Design / Landscape Architecture
  • A minimum of two years experience within the industry
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to meet deadlines
  • Excellent horticulture and design knowledge
  • Ability to produce landscape design plans with a dedicated attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Auto CAD or similar, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Good hand drawing / sketch capability
  • Full UK Driving License
