Ecological Supervision & Clerk of Works
PJC provide ecological clerk of works (ECOW) services to help keep your development on track.
The presence of an Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) is often a requirement of planning conditions or protected species licenses in order to discharge conditions.
Our highly trained ecologists will ensure that any risks to biodiversity are managed efficiently to prevent delays to works. They will:
- Provide practical assistance on how to comply with legislation and planning conditions.
- Advise on how to best protect biodiversity features on site for example via giving ‘toolbox talks’.
- Supervise works of high ecological risk such as clearance and tree felling.
- Carry out mitigation strategies such as fingertip searches and translocation of protected species
