Daytime Bat Walkover (Preliminary Bat Roost Assessment)
A daytime bat walkover survey (formally known as a preliminary bat roost assessment) is the first step in surveying for Bats.
A daytime bat walkover (DBW) or Preliminary Bat Roost Assessment (PRA) can be undertaken at any time of the year and involves a single day time site visit to undertake an external and internal inspection of a structure, or ground inspection of a tree, to identify any evidence of bat presence, as well as an assessment of the suitability of the feature to support roosting bats. This will be carried out by one of our licenced ecologists.
